Trapster + GPS Tracker

It has been a while since i posted so thought id post about a couple of things..

Recently i come across 2 peices of software for the Blackberry (also for iPhone and Nokia phones) 1 of which is called Trapster and what this little beauty does it that it warns you of Speed Traps, Live Police Cameras, Speed Cameras, etc and warns when you get within 1km of the Speed Trap etc or you can set it up to look further ahead warning you sooner.

Trapster is a free appliction for the Blackberry, iPhone and Nokia and any java-j2me enabled phones however no way of knowing if it works till you try it.

To use Trapster you need to have a GPS Enabled Phone oh and also an Unlimited Data Plan with your Service Provider so you wont get yourself into a pickle with a huge phone bill.

I have used Trapster for a while now and i have to say it’s worth it’s weight and well being free why not.

Trapster is a program that allows you also to pin point a Speed Trap etc and upload it so when other people who have this software installed will be able to also see were the Speed Camera etc is and also they can too give the OK that the Speed Camera is there basically telling everyone that a few people have seen it and so it makes it stand out more so to speak the more rankings it gets the more Confidence which is a good thing.

Ok now to the GPS Tracker finally lol…

GPS Tracker is an application from InstaMapper a service that lets you track your location Live! which means that your friends and family can see where you are and so it can help you see how far away they from you but also to the point also if you phone is stolen it tracks the location via GPS and uploads the location live to the website so you can see were the phone is located within a 3 metre radious it also runs in the background on bootup (Blackberry) so when the phone is turned on it will transmit as long as the person who has it doesn’t turn the phone off.

What InstaMapper also does it records your location every minute or less so you can look at the exact location you started form and where you ended up this way you can look the where you went and possibly look at better ways/shortcuts perhaps.

The Motorola iDEN is a phone that could be more suited to be permanently connected in the car so that it never leaves the car it’s one way to track the car also.

Both these applications come in very handy when you want to track you route and also to see if a Speed Camera is active on that route.

Both applications are 100% free and so easy to use.
